Hi, my name is Amira I'm currently in my last semester of social science but next semester I'm changing programs to go on dental hygiene. This glossary explains various terms and names associated with dental hygiene. I have 20 terms that are used fluently in this field. I've read a document about dental hygiene and found those terms in the document and researched all the definitions in wikipédia.

Cavity
noun
a decayed part of a tooth.
Example: He found a large amount of blood in the abdominal cavity but concluded that cause of death was heart disease.

noun
A dental abscess is a build-up of pus in the teeth or gums caused by an infection.
Example: When he finally goes to see a dentist, he learns that he has an abscess: the tooth is rotten, threatening to overtake his jaw.

Dental assistants are formally educated oral health care professionals and vital members of the oral health care team.

A removable plate or frame holding one or more artificial teeth.
Example: I am suggesting that it should be given a denture. He went to the dentist and asked to have his denture mended.
